An ode to one of the more promising and entirely misunderstood regenerative medicine therapies - the mesenchymal stromal cell.
Nanoparticles to the Rescue
Marissa and her colleagues discovered that nanoparticles from MSCs can repair lung and brain tissue following complications associated with preterm birth in an animal model. Published in a top American journal for scientists, Marissa now describes the team's important findings for the public.

All songs were written and composed by Dr. Marissa Lithopoulos. Marissa also produced the 3 science singles. The wonderful Rory Macdonald, at Electric Maple Tree, was the sound engineer for the tracks.
"With You" was a special project that includes Marissa's vocal performance and a lovely guitar performance by Zak Windy. Rory Macdonald was the producer on the track and Greg Mindorff, from Suite Sound Labs, was the expert mastering engineer. Everyone helped to capture the intimate and warm tones of the track and for that I am very grateful.
